- On Thursday, May 8, 10 AM EDT, join Pelf-Nyok Chen of the Turtle Conservation Society of Malaysia as she shares more about our collaborative efforts to restore the Southern River Terrapin (Batagur affinis) population in Peninsular Malaysia through community-driven conservation and empowerment.

Turtle Month begins on Earth Day, April 22, and concludes on World Turtle Day® on May 23. World Turtle Day® was begun by American Tortoise Rescue, a nonprofit organization established in 1990 for the protection of all species of tortoise and turtle. The day was created as a yearly observance to help people celebrate and protect turtles and tortoises and their disappearing habitats around the world.
