Mara Fields is a passionate and strategic event planner and community builder with over five years of experience in event production, donor engagement, and communications within the nonprofit sector. She joined Turtle Survival Alliance in May 2026 as Manager of Events and Corporate Partnerships, eager to bring her skills and expertise to support the organization’s global conservation efforts.
Mara brings a creative and composed approach to her work, developing thoughtful, engaging events while remaining calm and solutions-oriented in fast-paced environments. Prior to joining Turtle Survival Alliance, Mara served as Events and Communications Manager at Lowcountry Local First, where she built strong
connections and a deep appreciation for Charleston’s local independent business community.
She holds a degree in Communications from the College of Charleston and is proud to call the Lowcountry home for over a decade. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring local farmers’ markets or searching for her next read from a local bookshop.
