Carly joined the Turtle Survival Center team as a Chelonian Keeper in March 2025. Born and raised in the midlands of South Carolina, she has always enjoyed exploring nature and learning to identify local wildlife. Carly has a passion for helping protect endangered species and a special interest in turtles, having had the chance to observe many Eastern box turtles grow up and thrive around her family home.
After graduating from Clemson with a bachelor’s in wildlife biology, she gained experience in animal husbandry and wildlife rehabilitation. She is thrilled to be working hands on with the fascinating species at the TSC!
Outside of work Carly loves spending time with her pets and creating art, designing images of wildlife from pressed flowers and plants she has collected from all over South Carolina.
