Vanessa is a graphic designer with a strong passion for visual storytelling and a curiosity that extends beyond design. After gaining experience in print design, she set her sights on transitioning into the digital design space, an ambition that led her to join Turtle Survival Alliance as a Communications Intern in June 2025. In this role, she supported the Communications and Development team through social media content and creative design work.
What began as a design-focused opportunity quickly became a transformative experience. Immersed in the world of conservation, Vanessa was introduced to environmental challenges she had never fully considered before. By listening to researchers, volunteers, and local advocates, she discovered the power of storytelling, awareness, and individual action in protecting wildlife. The internship sparked a deep curiosity about the natural world and reshaped her perspective, turning her into an engaged learner eager to understand and support the conservation of endangered species.
In January 2026, Vanessa became a full-time Communications and Design Specialist with TSA. She now carries forward a growing passion for conservation, guided by the belief that learning is the first step toward meaningful change.
