Rachael Harff
Chelonian Keeper II
Rachael Harff first joined Turtle Survival Alliance in 2021 as a Chelonian Keeper at the Turtle Survival Center (TSC). She later returned to the TSC team in April 2024 as a Chelonian Keeper II.
Rachael’s lifelong passion for animals began early. She recalls helping turtles cross roads as a child and eventually earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Illinois State University. Her diverse career includes roles at a dog rescue, veterinary clinic, small zoo, and the South Carolina Aquarium. These experiences fostered a deep appreciation for all creatures, but Rachael’s heart belonged to turtles and tortoises. She was thrilled to rejoin the TSC staff and continue her journey in this field.
Rachael aspires to further her education with a master’s degree in a related field. When not immersed in turtle conservation, she enjoys sewing, reading, and spending time in nature.
