Alexandra S. Garcia is an independent non-profit consultant focused strategic planning, organizational management, and program implementation and assessment.
She offers her clients advice and guidance rooted in her more than 20 years of experience in senior leadership roles at World Central Kitchen, the International League of Conservation Photographers, and the Fabretto Children’s Foundation.
Alex’s current and past clients include SNV Development Organisation, The Ocean Foundation, the UN Foundation, Tostan International, and Turtle Survival Alliance among others.
She also strives to offer pro-bono services to organizations addressing issues of personal concern, such as epilepsy, as her adult daughter has suffered from this disease since childhood.
Finally, Alex serves on various boards and committees. Current engagements include the Advisory Council of US Food Rescue’s DC Chapter, the Executive Circle of the International Women of the Elliott School (I/WE) at George Washington University, and the Governance Committee of the Waterside at WISP Homeowner’s Association.
Alexandra holds a Masters in International Policy from the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University, a B.A. in Finance from Georgetown University, and executive certificates from the John F. Kennedy School at Harvard University.
When not in professional mode, Alex keeps busy being a travel junkie, hiker, photography enthusiast, and all-around adventure seeker. She recently started section hiking the Appalachian Trail with a goal to complete the roughly 2,200 miles by 2030 in the company of Nina, her mini-bernedoodle, and is currently building out a Ford Transit into a camper van in advance of a planned 5 year/5 phase expedition of the Pan American Highway to begin in 2026.
