Today marks a worldwide celebration of our planet and kicks off our 5th Annual Turtle Month! From today until World Turtle Day® on May 23, we invite you to stand with us in our global mission to protect the world’s most endangered turtles and tortoises.
Together, we’ve already made history—rescuing tens of thousands of turtles from illegal trade, restoring habitats, and empowering communities around the world.
But we’re not done yet.
With more than half of the world’s 360 turtle species threatened with extinction, the time for action is now. From scaling up our AZA-accredited Turtle Survival Center and increasing the number of secure, genetically diverse assurance colonies, to expanding in-situ conservation in critical regions like Central and South America, Southeast Asia, and Africa—your support powers every step.
And, your impact goes twice as far for turtle conservation this month. Thanks to a long-time supporter and generous family fund, every donation we receive now through World Turtle Day® will be matched dollar for dollar—up to $50,000.
