Position: Program Officer – (Community Outreach)

Station: Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh

Qualifications:

Essential:

Master’s Degree in Social Sciences /Education/Rural Education/Wildlife Science/Environment Science/ Environment Management/ or relevant field + one year minimum experience in designing and implementing community outreach programs.

Desirable:

Fluency in speaking, reading and writing both English and Hindi

Ability to work independently, self-manage, prioritise and work under pressure to tight deadlines.

Ability to work with multiple stakeholders’

Job responsibilities:

1. Initiate and manage the outreach activities involving diverse groups and stakeholders.

2. Develop and manage strategic awareness and outreach program pertaining to aquatic wildlife.

3. Manage social and alternate livelihood programs for species conservation

4. Produce information materials related to on ground outreach activities and social media communication.

5. Submit report, maintain database, and raise funds for sustaining project.

Additional information:

• Position is based in Lucknow but will involve travel across the project field site.

• Position will involve three month probationary period, after which performance will be evaluated and a permanent position will be offered

Compensation: Rs. 32,000 (all inclusive and negotiable)
